So for this Semester I took my first Ceramics class (which i enjoyed working with the clay), and We had to do a Box project that meant something personally to you and i almost overly ambitiously chose this. There are a couple of things missing on the roof, the water tower, and the satellite, but well I ran out of time, unfortunately college classes have due dates, PLUS because it is a box project and made out of clay i had certain limitations, i wouldn't have been able to fit them onto the roof since it is a lid. However maybe someday i'll be able to take another class and make those items separately that i can just put on top while its closed. Also i know the ladder and fire escape are thicker than they should technically be but with clay you have to have a certain consistency to thickness and anything too thin will crack and break off.
This was definitely ambitious for my first ceramics class but i learned a lot i enjoyed working on the project and im super happy with how it came out! (hey it didnt explode or break in the kiln so im good) and now i have my own little boarding house! I also put my Hey Arnold DVD set next to it for size comparison, I figured what else would be more appropriate than that? I cant wait for the movie to come out, It'll definitely be part of my collection. <3
